what do you like about having a shop? . I like the ability to express myself through my jewelry, to see people buy my work and think it is cool. I also love knowing that my jewelry will stand the test of time and become sentimental pieces to their owners. I like to work when I want and to take really nice days off.

when did you become a crafter? I think I always knew I loved crafts. Making stuff always felt right to me. I did my first craft show in 2001, bought the pop-up tent and everything. I guess that was when I officially became a crafter.

why did you start making what you make? When I started my own studio in 2000 I was experimenting with casting organic objects like twigs. I made one into a ring and loved the details of the twig in silver. It was so beautiful I knew I had to make more. That is how Twigs and Heather began.

how do you package youre items? I love, love ,love packaging my jewelry. It is just a different outlet for me to make something beautiful. I usually hot glue a piece of bark or a twig to the box, make a bow out of yarn and hemp and add my business card. I think packaging is really important when someone orders a piece from us. It makes it special.

how do you describe youre shop?. Because Twigs and Heather is my twin sister and myself and our designs are so different, I would say our jewelry is earthy and modern, never boring, truly unique, and for people who aren't afraid to express themselves and think outside the box.
