2 when did you start crafting? I started crafting in 2002 after I graduated college. I desperately wanted a hobby since I had some free time. I went to a ceramics class with my mother-in-law but soon realized that wasn't my cup of tea. For my birthday that year my MIL bought me a beading kit from a craft store, and I went nuts. I'd found my calling. The rest, as they say, is history...

3 when did you open shop? My first jewelry website came online in 2003. Since then, the website has changed about a zillion times, as has the name of my jewelry line. In 2006, Modern Elements was born, and I finally found the perfect name to describe my style. I've also been selling in various boutiques and online retailers since 2003.

4 what isa youre best seller That's a difficult question to answer, since most of my designs are one of a kind or limited editions. Overall, I'd say my best category is earrings. People love earrings! (as so I)

5 what do you think of indie shop interview Indie Shop Interview is fabulous! It's so great to see the support for indie designers and the indie movement. Without websites like this, indie designers would get lost in cyberspace.
