2 when did you start selling online I first started selling online around 2003, but I wasn't selling any of handmade goods online at this time, instead I was flogging my old books and bric-a-brac on Amazon.co.uk and eBay.co.uk - I learnt a lot about e-commerce by selling on these sites. Selling all of my unwanted bits and bobs online helped me buy all the art materials I needed for my degree course. I began to sell a few of my REconstructed T-Shirts via eBay in 2004, and then Red Plastic Factory came into being in summer 2005. I now sell the majority of my REconstructed T-Shirts via my website, www.redplasticfactory.co.uk, as well as auctioning a few select items on eBay each week! Also, I have recently expanded my website to include jewellery and accessories handmade by other superbly talented UK crafters / designers - and I am always on the look-out for new consignment partners to join us !

3 what is you're best seller? That is not such an easy question to answer, since a great number of my REconstructed T-Shirts are on-of-a-kind or limited designs. However, my Evil Dead and Driller Killer Halter Tops seem to be very popular at the moment, and my Jack Daniels Polka Dot Corset has always been a great seller too !

4 what does indie mean to you ? To me, being 'indie' means to be an independent, original and forward-thinking individual / designer / artist, (whether you are making clothes, paintings, music, websites, zines, whatever...!) without being associated with, or restricted by any large companies, labels, big-box stores etc... Basically to be 'indie' is to be free to express yourself in whatever form you desire without bending to the 'status-quo'.

5 what do you think of indie shop interviews? I think Indie Shop Interviews is an absolutely fantastic idea! It is also a very necessary idea - in order to get noticed on the internet indie designers desperately require the support of each other and the support of websites just like this one.
