1. do you listen to music when you craft?

Oh yeah! It makes it fun...but sometimes I get too distracted with it on.

2.Are craft stores evil when you dont have alot of cash?

Oh yes…and you know what happens then?! My debit card pops out of my wallet and waves at me. Then of course I listen to, it and walk out $50 poorer.

3. Have you learned anything now that you wished you would have learned before you started ratkiss?

Hmmm…Well I wish I learned more about the website making part of the deal. I am not very html savvy at all! That is only the really thing that I struggle with.

4.Was 2005 a slow year? what do you plan on making 06 better?

2005 has been a slow year, but I have actually had some sales. I don’t know what I am going to do to make 2006 better, but I am sure my rats will let me know when they think of it! One thing I would absolutely love to do is add some of my artwork to ratkiss! I am better with paper than digital art. It could possibly happen to since I have a scanner now, hooray!

5.Have you meet any crafters that really make you go "wow she made that"?

I haven’t actually met anyone in person, but, oh yes, I am amazed nonstop at some of the things I come across. I tend to say something aloud to myself like “Holy Rat Butts, that’s awesome!”

6 Whats the cool part about making buttons?

I really like the whole button making process right from the start of designing the 1” artwork, down to the packaging. It’s fun…but addicting! If I actually used every idea I have had roam through my mind onto a button that’s all ratkiss would be!

7 do you plan on doing craft faire/shows in the future?

I’d love to! I think it would be really fun. The only thing that is really stopping me from wanting to go ahead and do one is that some of the things I make are customized to each order, so it would be difficult decide what to make for the show. Then if the show didn’t go well I wouldn’t know what to do with all of the pre made stuff I have left over.

8 Why the name ratkiss?

Hmm lets see…ratkiss!... I am and animal lover, a vegan that makes vegan goodies, and I have pet rats. It couldn’t fit any better really. The rats are one of the most interesting pets I have ever had they even give little rat kisses! The exclamation point was eventually added on the end as a part of the identity, because exclamation points are fun!

9 Are youre pets/kids= rats youre mascots for youre shop?

My rats are my little logo for my shop! But because I have had about 37 of them over a period of time it would have been hard to pick one of them to use for a logo…so I made up the ratkiss! logo that way it wouldn’t really resemble any certain rat, its just a rat with a kiss on it.

10 Do you think rat kiss is going to bearound for say 10 years ?

Yes I do. Who knows what I will have wrapped into it by then?!

11 what 5 words can you think of that describe ratkiss?

fun,quirky,vegan, cute, colorful
