What makes your jewelry unique from everyone else’s? I believe that what sets my jewelry apart is that it’s extremely versatile. I know how it is when you’re busy and there’s no time to pick out jewelry that matches an outfit; Prismera jewelry is perfect for that, because you can just grab them and you’re out the door. Something else that’s unique to my jewelry is that most of the crystals I use act as prisms, so they catch sunlight and refract it on the body. That’s probably my favorite thing, which is why I created the Prism collection. It’s a whole line of jewelry that allows us girls to use light as an accessory.

When did you start making jewelry? I worked as a production assistant for a while in the fashion district of NYC. It was long hours stuck in a cubicle, so during my lunch hour, I’d roam the streets. Didn’t take me long to discover a nearby bead store and I’ve been hooked ever since.

At what age did you become a crafter? I’ve made clothes for my dolls as a kid, so I suppose I’m a lifetime crafter/creator!

Do you buy your supplies online or offline? Although I started out buying supplies from a brick and mortar store, I’ve started buying more and more supplies online. There’s a great deal of variety when you open yourself up to online supplies. I still buy almost all of my stones offline, because I like to inspect those individually beforehand.

What is the coolest thing about having an online store? The coolest thing to me is that you find other people who are just as passionate about your business as you are. There’s alot of support and love between e-business people; everyone’s in the same boat and are willing to help each other out whenever possible. So cool.
