1When did you start making bags? I started making handbags late last year when I became fed up with fitting issues with the "big 4" patterns and switched from clothing to accessories and things that don't require a bust, waist, or hip measurement. I enjoy making the bags a lot more than I do clothing, because it is less stressful, and it allows me to embellish the designs and use fabrics I normally wouldn't use for clothing.

2when did you open shop online? A friend and coworker of mine saw a few of my bags, and pointed me to Etsy. She suggested I take a look at the community and try to post some of my items for sale to see if I could make some extra cash to fund the hobby. That's when I started setting up my website (http://studio.fiercekitten.com/) and filling it with all kinds of information on my handbags. I use this site as my portfolio and business front-end; however, I make all transactions through Etsy.

3 have you done any craft shows? I have not done any craft shows yet, but I'm looking forward to stocking up in hopes of going to one in the future. I work full-time as a programmer at a game development company, so usually the only time I have to work on my handbags is on the weekends. I'm afraid I can't get enough stock together for all of the really awesome Spring and Summer craft fairs.

4 what are youre signature colors I definitely favour shades of purple and lavender. While I try to branch out my fabric selections, I tend to float back towards fabrics that contain any hint of purple. It's a weakness. I happened to do this with clothing too, and it amused my friends and family whenever they'd see the clothing I'd make in all kinds of purple. I get the love of purple from one of my favourite childhood shows, Sailor Moon. The character that I feel reflects me the most is Sailor Saturn, and her color was purple.

5 what is youre fav type of bags? I love messenger bags the most, as they seem to be the most useful and still make me feel young and in school!
