1 How did you come with your name? Elle B. is my initials - "LB" - spelled out.

2 What is the best part of crafting? Freedom. I make what I want and I use materials and colors that I'm attracted to. I'm lucky that I have customers who share my tastes, because I can't see myself bending over backwards to make things that look like something I've seen in every fashion magazine!

3 Do you get your supplies online or off? I purchase more equipment and staples (like chain and wire) from online suppliers, but I do my bead shopping almost exclusively at shows. Because I use vintage glass, it's really important to see the beads up close and make sure they're not damaged or cracked. Unfortunately, it's also easy to buy a lot more than I need when I'm holding that glittering strand in my hand!

4 What do you have planned for 2007? 2007 will probably be the year I decide if I can really keep this business going. There's so much to learn in the beginning, including where are the best venues to sell my jewelry. I'm still trying to figure out which is the best direction for me: shows, stores, home parties, website. . . By next year, which will be my third anniversary, I should have a pretty clear idea of whether I'm moving forward or not.

5 Have you done any craft fairs this season? I've done a couple of shows this year, but I'm trying to be much more selective about what shows I do and how far I travel for them. I wasted a lot of money last year trying shows that were totally wrong for me!
