1 When did you start crafting? Ive always been creative and crafty. My parents are both very artistic and encouraged me to create. I also have a very cool aunt that has taught me various "lost" arts, like tatting, candlewicking, lacemaking, rug hooking. She was also the first person to introduce me to herbs. Im trying to pass some of those creative outlets to my girls.

2 How did you get into making soap? The first time I had heard about homeade soap was about my grandma. My grandma made soap in a huge iron kettle in her backyard. My dad said it would eat your hide off, but cleared up his teenage acne. When I was on bedrest with my first child, I did a lot of reading and one of the books I read was on soapmaking. While I was pregnant with my 2nd daughter 2 years later, I made a batch. It was lavender oatmeal and it was horrible. Ive since developed my "signature" recipe that I make every soap with. Its gentle and has a great creamy lather.

3 how long have you made soap? Ive been making soap for almost 10 years. 4 whats youre best seller? Lavender is consistently my best seller, followed closely by Oats, Goats & Bumble. It is a very gentle soap made with local goats milk, local honey and ground oats. It smells like a Bit o'Honey.

5 what do you think of indie shop interviews? I think they are great. A lot of times, Indie crafters/businesses dont get the press or spotlights they deserve. There are a ton of fine Indie people out there and these shop interviews help get them out there in the public.
