1 Tell me a little about: How you came up with the name for youre shope? Well the name Collective Elements is based on two different ideas. I've always used the word "element" or some form of it in almost all of my creative endeavors because an element is something essential, something fundamental to the world at large. I believe the produts I sell are essentials. I think everyone needs a dash of something outside of the norm to soothe the soul. The word "collective" comes from the fact that my products come from different sources, different designers, & different ideas. They all mesh together on my site to fit a single vision.

2 At what age did you become a crafter I think I was always artsy. I definitely remember making cards and paper flowers for my mother as a little girl. Papercrafting has always been my first love but I crochet, make jewelry, paint glass, and dabble in assorted other crafts.

3 Its craft show season : Are you going to any? Definitely plan to visit Renegade in Brooklyn this June. I also plan on selling at few local flea markets and street festivals.

4 What does diy mean to you ? I see DIY as a chance to bring my own personality to a project. The analytical side of my brain just likes the idea of seeing how things work and putting them together and my creative side likes putting a personal stamp on things. I like surrounding myself with things that say "ME"

5(shops name) is all about ? Collective Elements is a celebration of independent style and design. I see myself as kind of a broker of artistic goods. My site is a collection of indie designers who are creating stylish, personal, high-quality goods. My aspiration is to open people's eyes to new ideas and concepts while helping designers further their careers. Inventory may differ based on what I'm buying or consigning but the standards are stationery (my first love), jewelry, fashion accessories, and home decor.
